The Original Intent Of This Blog

April 2006 - It seems vain to create a blog about me however, I realize that it is the most efficient way to provide accurate information about the status of my treatment and recovery so here I go .....

May 2009 - The cancer has returned, here I go again ...

December 2009 - I've finished chemo and am cancer free; I continue to receive Herceptin and the trial drug.

Family

Many of you have heard me talk about my family so I thought I would share a photo with you. This was taken in Everton, Missouri on July 4, 2005; our family's traditional day to celebrate my father's birthday and make homemade ice cream.

Standing Back Row: Nephews Tyler (first year college student)and Daniel (recently he moved to California and is living with Randy and I, he is a Department Manager at Lowe's).

Next Row: Standing is my son-in-law Bret (an Engineer with KC Fire Dept.); niece-in-law Deana and nephew Josh (the parents of Kindall the singing star of the video on this blog; yes they have jobs too and Josh will graduate soon-eventually with a BA in Economics); nephew Justin (a co-pilot with NorthWest Airlines); nephew Brian (a Paramedic) and his girlfriend Becca (an RN); my brother Holland (a Sales Rep. for KABA/Select Sires) and my sister-in-law Nancy (a wonderful travel agent).

Front Row Sitting: My daughter April (a full-time Mom and at the time of this picture she was pregnant with her third child - Connor) sitting on her lap is Madison (my granddaughter); Me and sitting on my lap is my grandson Jackson; My Dad (aka PaPa and one-day shy of his 78th birthday!) and he is holding Kindall (the singing star and daughter of Josh and Deana); and last but not least my very special brother, Glennis(he is also my oldest brother).

Missing: My mother who passed away February 15, 2005; my husband Randy; Josh and Deana's two older children MacKenzie and Brayden; and my second-oldest brother Denny.

All of my nephews are the sons of my younger brother Holland and his wife Nancy (yes, five boys). If you did not know it already, I love my family very much and am extremely proud of each of them.
